Christmas Party and Presentation Evening

Thank you to all those who attended the presentation evening. Once again the evening was a huge success with fun and games, as well as the awards and presentations.

Mr Storton began the presentations with certificates for all those who had been successful at a grading in 2015. Following this, certificates were awarded to those members who had taken part in competition throughout the year and gratitude awards were given to the members who have provided support to Mr Storton.

Commitment awards are given to those who have shown high levels of attendance throughout the year. William Hemsley was the winner of the award for highest attendance throughout 2014.

The final awards of the evening were for the Students' student of the year (voted for by all class members) and the student of the year (selected by Mr Storton). In the senior class, Luke Holstead won both the students' student of the year and student of the year. He has worked incredibly hard this year on all areas of his training and this is clearly shown in the high standard he demonstrates at breaking.

In the junior class, Conner Meade was the winner of the student of the year. Conner is an exceptional student in all areas. Not only does he perform incredibly well but he works hard on all areas of his training. He is also keen to take part in any competition or demonstration that is available. The winner of the junior students' student of the year was Jacob Hemsley. 2015 has been another successful year for William and the hard work he shows in class is paying off!

Andover Sports Awards

Sports AwardWe were delighted to receive the news that Mrs Susan Julyan (III Dan) had been nominated for veteran sportsperson of the year in the Andover Sports Awards 2015.

Mrs Julyan has always shown herself to be a dedicated and hard working student and this year she has successfully promoted to III Dan which she has worked towards since receiving her II Dan.

Unfortunately, Mrs Julyan didn't win the award but we are all incredibly proud of her.
